Baby Ballerinas 3 and 4 years. For the very young dancer who is ready to be in a class by themselves. Children explore movement qualities, musicality, and practice gross motor coordination, while enhancing the development of their bodies and their minds. Creative fun, ballet stories, and imaginative exercises, taught in an enriching and stimulating environment. Class size is limited to 8 to ensure individual attention.
ages 4 and 7 years. Children explore basic creative movement and basic ballet. Children are encouraged to expand their movement vocabulary through movement games, creative exploration of time, weight, and space. Class size is limited to 8 to ensure individual attention.
ages 6 to 7 years. Students are ready to be introduced to a class format that aims to prepare them for a real ballet class. Fun creative elements such as ballet stories, games, imaginative activities and basic work at the ballet barre begins. Class size is limited to 12 to ensure individual attention.
ages 7 to 8 years. This class introduces students to an increased level of formal training consisting of barre and centre work. Posture, placement, and comportment of classical ballet will be emphasized. The practice exercises included at this level for alignment, flexibility, and coordination will develop a strong foundation of physical and cognitive understanding necessary for classical ballet training. Class size is limited to 12 to ensure individual attention.

ages 9 years and up. This class guides students to develop confidence in performance skills. Training consists of barre and centre work. Posture, placement, and comportment of classical ballet will be emphasized. The practice exercises included at this level for alignment, flexibility, and coordination will develop a strong foundation of physical and cognitive understanding necessary for classical ballet training. Class size is limited to 15 to ensure individual attention.
Note: It is appropriate for a student in ballet to attend the same level for two years, before graduating to the next level. As our enrollment increases, additional classes, and classes of higher levels will be added to the schedule. Be sure to join our waiting list, if the class you require is full.
Semi-Private and Private classes are available for ballet students who are at a level higher than 3 and wish to receive specific training and guidance to suit their individual needs.
ages 8 to 10 years. Students are exposed to a diverse range of styles with an emphasis on proper warm up, alignment and conditioning. Students learn basic jazz dance steps and combinations.
ages 11 years and up. Students are exposed to a diverse range of styles with an emphasis on proper warm up, alignment and conditioning. Students learn a more comprehensive level of jazz dance steps and combinations.
Sponsored by Neighbourhoods Alive, Mondays at 4 to 5 pm, we are offering a teen jazz class. This class is free to kids who live in the Daniel McIntyre or Spence Street Neighbourhood. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. The class is free and begins in January and continues until June. Students must register for the class.
ages 6 and 7 years. This class is designed to introduce children to the foundational technique of hip hop and jazz dance, with an emphasis on rhythm. Children learn basic isolations, groove steps, jazz steps, and floor movements. Children dance to a variety of upbeat tunes for an exhilarating and fun time!
ages 8 and up. Designed to introduce the basic elements of hip hop including isolations, stretching, groove steps, and foundation floor movements based on break dance technique.

ages 8 years and up. L.A. Style danced on the 1! with a strong emphasis on musicality. This fun and invigorating class will introduce students to the rich sounds of Afro cuban music. Children learn basic salsa steps and combinations, study partner work, and perfect their shines. Students are encouraged to express their individuality through the music.

ages 10 and up. This class is designed with jazz technique including warm up, isolations, stretches, and many different styles of choreography, for performance in theatre. Students also learn combinations from musical theatre repertoire. (without singing). Students study the different techniques and how to apply performing skills.
